Lessons in canning

• You will giggle like a giddy school girl when you hear that wonderful "POP" signalling a successful seal.
• Do not wear white while canning tomatoes. Or anything. (Seems obvious, no?)
• Keep a cloth or towel handy to wipe spills made from pouring your hot, delicious, squishy, messy foods into jars. (Do you sense a theme?)
• Do not boil the bands!
• Hard water creates a wierd dusty film on the exterior of all jars and lids. This is okay; it can easily be wiped off.
• Don't bother trying to can when there is a toddler attached to your leg.
• CAN ALL THE THINGS! But do it properly. Seriously, it's fun!
